Pay Rate: $60-90 /hr W2

The Firmware Developer will be responsible for creating software that will function in a target environment with limited resources and strict real-time requirements for various flight/space/ground systems. The software will implement complex algorithms for data analysis, data routing, and control systems. The ideal candidate should have knowledge of different processors, memory, and I/O architectures, and should be skilled in implementing both procedural and object-oriented software using C++. Experience working with real-time operating systems like VxWorks or Linux, and their corresponding development tools, is required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Software Engineering from an ABET university with at least 8 years of software development experience
- Proficiency in Object-Oriented software design and C++ programming
- Experience working in a real-time operating system environment (e.g. FreeRTOS, RT-Linux, GH Integrity)
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced lab setting with rapid development
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in various software life cycle phases including software systems architecture development, requirements analysis, OO development, code and unit testing, system integration and testing
- Familiarity with lab instruments such as signal generators, analyzers, and power sources
- Experience in hardware validation and verification of RF, digital, or mixed-signal devices
