American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Electrophysiology (EP) Lab / Cardiac Observation Unit position in Tucson, AZ, requiring ACLS and an active AZ or compact RN license.

Position is based in a hospital Cardiac Observation Unit (COU) supporting the Electrophysiology Lab
-
Patients are high-risk, high-acuity cardiac cases requiring pre- and post-procedural care

Bedside procedures performed in the unit include Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) and Cardioversions (CV)

Schedule is 3x12-hour day shifts with varying start times (0600-1830, 0700-1930, or 0800-2030)

Weekend call is required on a rotational basis, approximately once every 4–6 weeks; Saturday call hours are 0700-1700 and Sunday call hours are 0700-1400

13-week contract

Active AZ RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

Current BLS and ACLS certifications required (no certifications may expire within the first 30 days of assignment)

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a relevant specialty required; applicable backgrounds include Cath Lab, PACU, ICU, Telemetry, or Surgery Center (considered on a case-by-case basis)

No gaps in work history of 90 days or more within the past 12 months

Valid US driver's license required

Responsibilities include admitting and prepping patients for Cath procedures and bedside procedures (CV and TEE), recovering post-procedure patients who received conscious sedation, sedating and circulating for CV and TEE procedures, and completing patient discharge including teaching and documentation

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — no local travelers accepted

Candidates who have worked as permanent staff at any CHS facility within the past 2 years are not eligible for this position

RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
