Duties
- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, glassware, utensils, and cookware
- Follow food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure all items meet health standards
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen staff
- Bypass or manually handle heavy loads of dishes and kitchenware with proper technique to prevent injury
- Maintain cleanliness of dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables and transporting used dishware to the dish station
- Adhere strictly to kitchen health and safety standards, including sanitation protocols and safe manual handling practices
Experience
- Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are valued highly
- Familiarity with food handling, sanitation procedures, and kitchen equipment operation is advantageous
- Experience with dishwashing or cleaning roles within hospitality or catering settings is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during busy service hours
