Responsibilities and Duties Required

Unpack, examine, and route incoming shipments, rejects damaged items, records shortages, and corresponds with buyer to rectify damages and shortages. Receives and processes all defective parts returned for replacement or credit.

Perform all computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.

Responsible for planning for pick up by the carrier specified on the customer order, which is conveyed to the shipping clerk via the shipping instructions.

Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department supervisor.

Responsible for keeping an adequate supply of shipping materials on hand always.
-
Make pickups and deliveries to our suppliers for parts and raw materials using a company vehicle, as required.

Pull material per work order and complete all paperwork requirements and complete the proper transactions in the ERP system when required.

Responsible to implement and perform material cycle counts as scheduled.

Review and ensure accuracy of pick ticket documents and work orders.
-
Contribute to continuous improvement with department objectives.

Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.

Responsible for packing of all outgoing shipments per work instructions. Maintain area to align with 6S activities.

Assist in Stock Room as needed.

Other responsibilities as requested, directed, or assigned.
Qualifications and Skills Required

One year of factory-related experience in shipping and receiving.

Job, Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
Physical Demands:

Must be able to lift, move, transport and load items across the building up to 50 pounds at times.

Must be in good physical condition and be able to stand, walk, sit, reach with hands and arms, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl for length of shift.

May be required to work on slippery and uneven surfaces.

May be exposed to physical hazards from moving equipment, heavy equipment, and machine parts.

Specific coordination is necessary to operate computers and various pieces of equipment.

May work in close proximity to others.
