About This Role
The Manufacturing Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring product quality by developing and maintaining quality standards, supporting compliance with ISO 9001, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. This role partners closely with production, engineering, and supply chain to identify issues, implement corrective actions, and improve overall product reliability and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Collaborate with production teams to maintain quality standards and ensure compliance
- Investigate customer complaints, nonconformances, and supplier corrective actions (SCARs)
- Lead and support CAPA processes, including root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Develop product specifications, sampling plans, and quality procedures
- Support internal and external ISO 9001 audits
- Monitor quality metrics and drive improvement actions
- Maintain documentation and support QMS requirements
- Assist with Lean and Six Sigma continuous improvement initiatives
- Support change management and engineering changes
- Ensure products are manufactured to design specifications
- Support supplier and equipment evaluations from a quality perspective
- Help reduce manufacturing errors and improve consistency
- Promote a safety-first culture and support risk prevention
Essential Qualifications, Experience, And Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related)
- 2–5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with ISO 9001 (required)
- Experience with CAPA, nonconformances, complaints, or SCARs
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a manufacturing environment
- ISO 14001 experience
- Lean / Six Sigma certification
- Experience in electrical, power, or similar manufacturing environments
- Supplier quality or manufacturability experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
- Valid driver’s license required
- Ability to travel internationally (passport required)
- Role includes regular time in a manufacturing environment
Compensation Range: $80,000-$85,000
