Eastern Greene High School is seeking a motivated and dependable Junior Varsity Volleyball Coach to support the Thunderbird Volleyball Program. The JV Coach will work under the direction of the Head Coach to develop student-athletes’ skills, promote teamwork, and contribute to a positive and competitive program.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong communication skills, a commitment to student development, and the ability to build positive relationships with athletes, staff, and families.

Volleyball coaching or playing experience preferred

Knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, techniques, and strategy

Ability to work collaboratively with the Head Coach and coaching staff

Strong communication and organizational skills

Commitment to promoting sportsmanship and positive character development

Support the development of student-athletes within the volleyball program

Reinforce program expectations, culture, and fundamentals

Prepare athletes for advancement to the varsity level

Promote teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship

Assist in planning and conducting practices under the direction of the Head Coach

Coach and supervise JV team practices and competitions

Support skill development and implementation of program systems

Communicate effectively with players, parents, and coaching staff

Assist with program needs such as equipment, scheduling support, and supervision

Model appropriate behavior and leadership for student-athletes
-
Support fundraising and program events as needed

Attend meetings, practices, and games consistently and reliably

Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach or Athletic Director
