Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) - Full-Time
Job Summary:
Willow Valley Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is seeking a compassionate and licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our rehab team and support our residents on their journey to independence and improved quality of life. As a COTA, you will work closely under the direction of an Occupational Therapist to help implement care plans, guide residents through therapeutic activities, and promote recovery and mobility in a supportive long-term care setting.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver care and exercises based on treatment plans created by the OT
- Assist residents with activities that support daily living and independence
- Accurately document therapy sessions and track patient progress
- Collaborate with therapists, nurses, and family members to support care goals
- Educate residents, families, and staff on at-home and restorative programs
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and quality improvement programs
- Float to nearby facilities if needed based on patient needs
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
- Current state license/registration as a COTA
- Experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist with patient movement
- Strong communication and time management skills
