Phenix Marble Company is looking for motivated and safety-conscious people to join the team at our Ash Grove, MO location, located two miles north of Highway 160 on Farm Road 45.
Position Overview
Phenix mines, processes, and fabricates high density limestone for a variety of products used in building projects nationwide. We are growing quickly and have multiple roles that need to be filled by reliable, safe, and ambitious people. There are various work centers and roles at our facility, ranging from heavy material loading and handling, to running saws, to CNC work, to hand finishing. We are always in need of and training people for equipment maintenance. We deploy people into these roles on the basis of their experience, interest and aptitude. Because we are growing quickly, there is a lot of opportunity for reliable, motivated people to take on new and expanded roles over time. There is plenty of career growth available here.
As both a quarry and state of the art manufacturing facility, we fabricate a variety of natural stone products including slab, veneer, pavers, and wall cladding. We do NOT install materials and rarely cut countertops.
Starting pay will be based on experience and qualifications.
This is hard work, and it requires being on time to work at the factory location outside of Ash Grove, but there are a lot of different types of opportunity here for people who are interested.
Key Responsibilities
The duties and responsibilities might include but are not limited to the following:
- Maintains awareness of OSHA (Occupational Safety & Healthy Administration) regulations and shows a commitment to safety every day.
- Works as a team member with other employees within the facility to ensure a smooth and safe operation.
- Runs CNC machine, bridge saw, hand tools, grinders, compressors and related equipment.
- Operates forklift, skid steer and other necessary pieces of equipment.
- Often lifts/carries more than 50 lbs.
- Assists with fabrication equipment maintenance and clean up as needed.
- Performs any other duties as requested by the Operations Director/other leadership.
Key Requirements
- Relevant experience desired.
- Forklift experience is a plus.
- Ability to safely load and unload slabs onto machinery for production in high volume.
- Basic computer and math skills as well as the ability to use and understand basic fabrication tools such as a tape measure, micrometer and calipers.
- Keen attention to detail and care of workmanship and equipment.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in Phenix training materials.
- Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and visitors at all times.
- Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.
- Timely and regular attendance is an expectation of performance for all Phenix Marble Company employees.
Notes
- Experience within the stone industry is not essential – training will be provided.
- Drug screening and background checks are part of our pre-employment process.
- Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and pass a physical.
- Must have reliable transportation and get to work on time. Please do not waste everyone's time if there is no way you can see to reliably get to work day in and day out.
- All PPE will be provided; you must provide safety toe boots and pants.

- Overtime as required; some Saturdays only as needed
