General Purpose of Job
The Powder Coater is responsible for applying powder coating finishes to trailer parts and frames to ensure a durable, high-quality surface. This position plays a vital role in the final stages of the trailer manufacturing process.

- Ensure parts and surfaces are prepped for powder coating, including cleaning, sanding, masking, or hanging components
- Operate powder coating spray equipment and apply coating according to company standards and specifications
- Monitor curing ovens and verify proper temperatures and curing times
- Inspect finished products for coverage, thickness, and overall quality
- Maintain a clean and organized spray booth and coating area
- Ensure all safety procedures and PPE requirements are strictly followed
- Track materials and report inventory needs to supervisors
- Assist with touch-ups, rework, or other finishing tasks as needed
- Work collaboratively with team members across production to meet daily output goals
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in powder coating or industrial painting
- Familiarity with powder coating equipment, ovens, and spray techniques
- Strong attention to detail and quality control standards
- Ability to work in a hot, dusty environment and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow all safety protocols
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Flexibility to work overtime or extended hours as needed

This position works in a manufacturing setting with exposure to powder, paint fumes, heat, and loud noise. PPE, including respirators and protective suits, is required and provided. Frequent standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive movement are part of the daily routine.
