American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position requiring 18 months of recent Med/Surg Tele experience and an active Ohio or compact RN license.

Work in the Med/Surg Tele unit of a hospital environment
-
Day shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM
-
Assignment length of 20 weeks with 13-week options also available for winter coverage

Active RN license (Ohio or Compact) currently in hand
-
Current certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) from AHA or American Red Cross

Willingness to obtain NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification prior to start

Minimum of 18 months recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required

One professional reference from a manager, ANM, supervisor, or director in the specialty required (Charge RN references accepted)

Reference must be from an assignment worked within the past 12 months

Must complete ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation with a passing score

Provide direct patient care to Med/Surg Telemetry patients

Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate

Nurses are exempt from the facility's nicotine-free requirement

Permanent and per diem candidates cannot return to this health system for 1 year from their previous end date

BCI/FBI fingerprinting must be completed within 48 hours of contract signing

Assignments may extend up to 18 months total, with a required 6-month break before returning unless client-approved
