Overview
We are seeking a Vice President of Commercial Mortgage to lead debt origination, structuring, and execution across our data center development portfolio. This individual will be responsible for sourcing and closing construction and term financing, preferred and common equity while building deep relationships with lenders, banks, debt funds, insurance companies, and alternative capital providers.
This is a critical role supporting the financing of large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate, structure, and execute construction loans, bridge financing, and permanent debt
- Build and maintain relationships with:
- Commercial banks
- Debt funds and private credit platforms
- Insurance companies and institutional lenders
- Lead negotiations of loan terms, covenants, and credit agreements
- Coordinate due diligence processes with lenders, including appraisals, engineering reports, and legal documentation
- Partner with internal teams to align financing with development timelines, leasing progress, and capital stack strategy
- Analyze and optimize capital stack structures to minimize cost of capital and maximize returns
- Monitor loan performance, compliance, and refinancing opportunities
- Stay current on interest rate trends, credit markets, and lender appetite for data center assets
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial real estate finance, lending, or debt placement
- Strong relationships across lending institutions and capital providers
- Deep experience with construction financing and large-scale real estate or infrastructure projects
- Understanding of data center fundamentals (power, leasing, hyperscalers) strongly preferred
- Strong financial modeling and underwriting skills
- Ability to manage multiple financings simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
