Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and dependable General Laborer to join our civil construction grade crew. This position supports site preparation, grading, utility installation, and other earthwork activities on commercial, municipal, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, enjoys working outdoors, and is willing to perform physically demanding work as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Assist grade crew members with site preparation and earthwork operations
- Perform grade checking and assist with maintaining proper elevations and slopes
- Set and pull grade stakes as directed
- Assist with utility installation, trenching, and backfilling operations
- Use hand tools, shovels, rakes, levels, and other construction equipment
- Load, unload, and move materials, tools, and equipment around the job site
- Assist equipment operators and skilled crew members as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors
Qualifications
- Previous civil construction, grading, excavation, or utility experience preferred
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting up to 50 pounds
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude
- Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team
- Valid driver's license preferred
- Experience working around heavy equipment is a plus

- Full-time

- Occasional weekend work as project demands require
