Position Overview
The HVAC Warehouse Associate works alongside the warehouse team to ensure materials, equipment, and supplies are accurately received, organized, staged, and distributed to support our installation and service teams.
This position is responsible for pulling and verifying orders from pick tickets, maintaining material accountability, supporting inventory processes, and helping keep the warehouse clean, safe, organized, and functional.
What You'll Do
- Work collaboratively with warehouse personnel to pull and stage installation and service orders accurately and on time using provided pick tickets.
- Verify materials and quantities against pick tickets before orders are staged or released.
- Ensure technicians and installers properly sign out all materials, equipment, and supplies removed from the warehouse.
- Collect, review, and submit material pick tickets to the appropriate supplier each business day to support accurate and timely inventory records.
- Receive, inspect, label, stock, and organize incoming HVAC equipment, parts, materials, and supplies.
- Assist with cycle counts, inventory checks, discrepancy research, and other inventory-control activities.
- Maintain clean, orderly, and functional warehouse, staging, and work areas.
- Identify and promptly address or report safety and housekeeping concerns.
- Handle HVAC equipment and materials carefully to minimize damage, loss, and unnecessary waste.
- Communicate shortages, discrepancies, damaged materials, and urgent fulfillment needs to the appropriate supervisor.
- Follow all company safety procedures and use required personal protective equipment.
- Support technicians, installers, and other team members with material and equipment needs.
- Perform additional warehouse, inventory, and operational duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
- Previous warehouse, inventory, HVAC supply, construction material, or related experience preferred.
- Forklift or material-handling experience required.
- Ability to read and follow pick tickets, material lists, product labels, and written instructions.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and accountability.
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to communicate professionally with warehouse staff, technicians, installers, suppliers, and supervisors.
- Basic computer, email, scanning, Excel, and data-entry skills preferred.
- Forklift certification may be required based on assigned job duties.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, climb, and work in a warehouse environment for extended periods.
- Ability to safely lift, carry, push, and pull materials commonly handled in an HVAC warehouse, with assistance or equipment when appropriate.
- Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor warehouse conditions.
- Ability to work in environments that may include changing temperatures, dust, noise, and moving equipment.
- Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment as required by the position.
