Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring Electrician in Newark, CA. The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems for contract projects in Newark, CA. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of electrical codes and safety procedures, with the ability to interpret technical diagrams and work effectively within a construction environment.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $25 to $40 Per Hour BOE
Responsibilities:
- Install, bend, and remove conduit to accommodate wiring needs for construction projects.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams to ensure accurate installation.
- Pull electrical wiring through conduit and connect it to circuit breakers, transformers, and outlets.
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems including lighting fixtures, electrical panels, and switches.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform corrective actions to ensure system functionality.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using various electrical testing devices.
- Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and all local building codes.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in electrical installations and repairs within a construction environment.
- Comprehensive knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) standards and safety protocols.
- Possession of necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) and standard electrical hand tools.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team to meet strict project timelines.
- Reliable transportation to commute to various job sites within the Newark area.
- Strong technical proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical drawings and blueprints.
Physical Requirements:
- Must have manual dexterity, a good sense of balance, and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Must be able to climb stairs, ladders, and poles safely.
- Must be physically capable of pulling wires and cables through conduits.
- Must be able to see color to discern color-coded wiring.
- Must be able to sit, stand, kneel, stoop, and walk for long periods of time.
- Must be physically capable of lifting and carrying up to 80 lbs.
- Must be capable of working in inclement weather conditions and around loud noises.
Pay Transparency:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $25 to $40 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
