New Solutions Staffing is seeking Experienced and New Graduate Certified Nursing Assistants for a long-term care nursing home assignment in Pelham Parkway, Bronx.
Position Overview
Under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, the CNA provides direct resident care, assists with activities of daily living, supports resident comfort and safety, and follows established care plans, facility policies, and regulatory requirements.

Assignment Information
- Evening Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM (Part-Time for Every Weekend Only)
- Must work both Saturday and Sunday, either Every Weekend or Every Other Weekend (based on assigned schedule)
- 1 Classroom Orientation from 10:00 AM on Tuesdays; 2 Buddy Shifts; Mandatory Computer Training on Day 2
Required Qualifications
- Active New York State Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.
- Minimum three (3) months of CNA experience in a long-term care nursing home setting (Preferred)
- Familiarity with electronic medical record (EMR) systems (Preferred)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including standing, walking, bending, and transferring residents
- Basic understanding of infection control and resident safety
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills for documentation
- Ability to speak, read, and write English as required for the role
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, toileting, feeding, and incontinent care
- Support safe transfers, ambulation, and positioning using proper body mechanics and approved equipment
- Promote and maintain resident skin integrity through repositioning, hygiene, and preventative care
- Observe residents for changes in condition, behavior, or appearance and report promptly to licensed nursing staff
- Answer call bells promptly and provide courteous, professional assistance
- Escort residents to appointments and activities within the facility
- Accurately document care provided in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
- Follow infection prevention and control procedures including hand hygiene and PPE usage
- Maintain resident dignity, privacy, and rights at all times
- Participate in shift-to-shift reporting to ensure continuity of care
Work Environment & Physical Requirements (ADA)
- Long-term care nursing home environment
- Possible exposure to infectious diseases, bodily fluids, dust, and cleaning chemicals
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift, push, or transfer residents and equipment weighing 25 pounds or more
- Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and remain calm in high-stress situations
