Property Accountant
We are seeking an experienced Property Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial real estate accounting and will be responsible for managing the financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end close for a portfolio of commercial properties.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial statements and supporting schedules
- Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations
- Complete month-end and year-end closing activities
- Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit requests
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
- Additional responsibilities as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of commercial real estate property accounting experience (required)
- Commercial real estate experience is required. Residential property accounting experience alone will not be considered.
- Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
- Proficiency with Yardi or similar property accounting software
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
