Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and friendly Hostess Cashier to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests while efficiently managing the front-of-house operations. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival, providing a positive first impression and guiding them to their seats promptly
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Process guest payments accurately and swiftly at the cashier station, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and cashier area to ensure a professional appearance
- Assist with guest inquiries over the phone using excellent phone etiquette and provide accurate information about services and wait times
- Support restaurant staff by coordinating seating arrangements and communicating guest needs effectively
- Uphold hospitality standards by delivering friendly, attentive service that enhances overall guest relations
Skills
- Prior experience as a host/hostess or cashier in food service or restaurant settings is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills to interact confidently with guests, team members, and management
- Proficiency with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for processing transactions smoothly
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction and relations
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of hospitality principles, including guest services, serving, and hotel experience is a plus
- Professional phone etiquette and clear communication to assist guests over the phone effectively
