New Hampshire Orthopaedic Center (NHOC), a division of Northeast Orthopaedic Alliance (NOA), is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Medical Receptionist to join our growing team.
As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a vital role in creating a welcoming experience while helping our busy orthopedic practice operate efficiently. As a Medical Receptionist, you'll help deliver an outstanding patient experience by:

Welcome patients with professionalism, warmth, and compassion

Register patients and verify demographic, insurance, and billing information

Collect co-pays and ensure all required documentation has been received

Communicate expected wait times and answer general patient questions

Notify providers of appointment cancellations and no-shows

Direct patients to the appropriate staff for billing or payment questions

Review visit documentation for accuracy and completeness

Schedule follow-up appointments

Collect patient balances and co-pays
-
Assist patients by directing billing questions to the appropriate team members

Process insurance referrals and maintain accurate documentation
-
Fax Workers' Compensation forms and other required paperwork

Retrieve medical records, imaging reports, and other clinical documentation
-
Report missed post-operative appointments to physicians and care coordinators
-
Send appointment reminders and document patient communications
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front office

Support the team with additional administrative duties as needed

High school diploma or equivalent required

Previous customer service experience preferred

Medical office or healthcare experience is a plus, but we're happy to train the right candidate
