This position will be located at the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, Division of Environmental Quality, Environmental Remediation Program at 1730 East Elm Street, Jefferson City, Missouri.
Responsibilities - What you’ll do
- Federal grant management, including application, tracking, and reporting of all Superfund, Underground Petroleum Storage Tank, and Federal Facilities agreements.
- Monitor the state’s cost share obligation on remedial action activities at Superfund sites.
- Provide fiscal support to program technical staff on information from the state’s accounting system.
- Assist with the preparation of information for annual workplans, staffing, and expense plans.
- Assist with the annual preparation of state budget information.
- Assist in development of other section staff through mentoring, training, consultation, and peer review.
Qualifications - All you need for success
To be successful in this position, a candidate will need the following skills:
- Grants Management Laws, Regulations, and Guidelines: Knowledge of principles, laws, regulations, policies, practices, and guidelines (for example, Executive Orders, Code of Federal Regulations, OMB circulars) of grant or agreement programs, including their order of precedence.
- Attention to Detail: Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
- Program Oversight: Plans, coordinates, and monitors programs to ensure that federal, state, and/or local government program requirements and plans are met, providing professional consultation on the specialized services of the program or associated project(s).
Equivalent to those typically gained by:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or closely related field and 3-5 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
