We are looking for a compassionate, dependable, and hardworking kennel assistant to join our veterinary clinic team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with animals and takes pride in providing excellent care in a clean, safe, and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
Feed, water, and monitor hospitalized and boarding pets.
Clean and disinfect kennels, cages, treatment areas, and equipment.
Walk and exercise dogs as directed.
Assist veterinary technicians and doctors with animal restraint and basic patient care.
Wash bedding, dishes, and other pet care items.
Monitor pets for changes in behavior or health and report concerns to the medical team.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary clinic environment.
Provide compassionate care and attention to every patient.
Qualifications:
Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently and as part of a team.
Comfortable handling dogs and cats of various sizes and temperaments.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically active tasks, including standing, bending, and cleaning.
Excellent attention to detail and a positive attitude.
Previous experience working with animals is preferred but not required—we are willing to train the right candidate.
