Duties
- Lead the Minimum Data Set (MDS) assessments for residents, ensuring timely and accurate completion in accordance with federal and state regulations.
- Collaborate with nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to gather comprehensive clinical information.
- Maintain meticulous medical documentation and ensure all records align with HIPAA privacy standards.
- Review resident charts, medical records, and care plans to verify data accuracy and completeness.
- Educate staff on MDS requirements, updates to regulations, and proper documentation procedures.
- Monitor compliance with federal guidelines such as OBRA (Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act) and CMS (Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services) standards.
- Prepare detailed reports for regulatory audits and quality improvement initiatives.
