Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Janitor/Cleaner to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure our spaces are spotless, organized, and well-maintained. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility
- Maintain floors through buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing to ensure a professional appearance
- Clean restrooms thoroughly, restock supplies, and ensure hygiene standards are met
- Handle industrial cleaning tasks such as deep cleaning of carpets or specialized floor care as needed
- Conduct general facilities maintenance including minor repairs and reporting larger issues to management
- Use appropriate cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and effectively in both commercial and residential settings
- Assist with porter duties such as moving supplies or furniture to support overall facility operations
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with a strong understanding of cleaning procedures and safety protocols
- Knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, sealing, and polishing floors
- Familiarity with commercial cleaning standards and residential painting is a plus
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as floor buffers and industrial vacuums efficiently
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills to prioritize tasks effectively
- Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and report maintenance issues promptly
- Physical stamina to stand, bend, lift heavy objects, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift
