Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
- Conduct patient assessments and monitor vital signs to evaluate health status.
- Assist with IV infusion, catheterization, tube feeding, and other nursing procedures.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Educate patients and families on health management, medication administration, and post-discharge instructions.
- Support patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) while promoting independence.
- Participate in infection control measures and maintain a clean and safe environment.
- Provide emotional support to patients and families dealing with chronic illnesses or disabilities.
Requirements
- Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in acute care, long-term care, or specialized areas such as geriatrics or pediatrics is preferred.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support techniques.
- Strong assessment skills with the ability to recognize changes in patient conditions promptly.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia care is a plus.
- Ability to perform phlebotomy, specimen collection/processing, and administer injections as needed.
