Duties

- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering strictly to food safety and sanitation standards.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods by efficiently handling food prep tasks.
- Follow proper food handling procedures and recipes to prevent cross-contamination and ensure freshness.
- Assist with meal preparation for catering events or special functions as needed.
- Ensure all kitchen tools, knives, and equipment are properly maintained and stored after use.
Skills
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, including knife skills and basic cooking methods.
- Experience with menu planning and understanding of food industry standards.
- Familiarity with food safety protocols, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced restaurant or catering environment.
- Excellent food handling skills with attention to detail in meal assembly and presentation.
- Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance.
