Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process retail sales transactions, including cash, credit/debit cards, and mobile payments
- Provide friendly and professional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and assisting with product inquiries
- Handle cash drawer operations with precision, ensuring proper cash handling and balancing at the end of each shift
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits of various items
- Upsell complementary products to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
- Assist with stocking shelves, merchandising displays, and maintaining store cleanliness to ensure an inviting shopping environment
- Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when managing inquiries or assisting customers remotely
- Support inventory management through stock replenishment and product organization
- Apply basic retail math skills for transactions, discounts, returns, and refunds efficiently
Experience
- Prior experience in retail sales or cashiering roles preferred, especially within grocery stores or similar environments
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash register operations is highly desirable
- Supervising experience is a plus, demonstrating leadership in team settings
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous to serve diverse customer needs effectively
