Job Summary
Landerholm, P.S. is seeking an organized, self-motivated paralegal to work with the attorneys and staff in our Litigation Department. Significant client contact is a primary responsibility of this position, so exceptional interpersonal skills are a must. Experience in the area of civil litigation, primarily commercial/business litigation, construction, and real estate is required. This is a non-exempt position.
Duties
- Draft correspondence and pleadings (including Complaints, Declarations, Discovery Requests and Responses, Subpoenas and Trial Memos) for review by and signature of attorney.
- Conduct legal research and draft legal research memoranda.
- Maintain general contact with client after the establishment of the attorney-client relationship.
- Gather and organize client files.
- Manage Electronic Discovery for attorneys, including setting up databases, uploading documents, setting up coding, reviewing documents for privileged information and preparing productions pursuant to each case’s electronically stored information agreement.
- Conduct client interviews to gather background information.
- Locate and interview witnesses.
- Assist attorneys during trial, including but not limited to, jury selection, setting up all trial presentation equipment, running trial presentation software (Trial Director), coordinating witnesses, and assisting with trial strategy during trial.
- Prepare trial exhibits and illustrative trial poster boards for use at trial.
- Conduct investigations and statistical and documentary research.
- Summarize depositions interviews and testimony for attorneys.
- Prepare case chronologies.
- Prepare clients for court hearing and/or trial.
- Manage case deadlines, including all court deadlines.

- Identify legal issues in designated areas of the law.
- Collect, organize, review, evaluate and draw conclusions.
- Develop strategies.
- Detail-oriented, accurate, with demonstrated ability to follow through.
- Work efficiently with court staff, opposing counsel and other staff.
- Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Well-developed research and delegation skills.
- Familiarity with Trial Director preferred.
- Computer skills are essential to this position.
- Electronic discovery database experience required.
Requirements & Prerequisites
- Bachelor’s degree paralegal certificate.
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in litigation.
- Full time – 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
Pay: $68,000.00 - $82,000.00 per year
