We are seeking a Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial construction projects in the Newport News, VA area, ensuring schedule, safety, and quality standards are consistently achieved.
Responsibilities

Oversee daily field operations and mentor field staff to drive project execution

Develop and implement site logistics plans to support efficient jobsite performance
-
Manage and coordinate all subcontractors including scheduling, sequencing, and scope alignment
-
Develop and maintain construction schedules, adjusting for impacts and driving solutions
-
Perform constructability reviews to identify risks and improve project outcomes
-
Coordinate with authorities having jurisdiction and manage all required inspections
-
Enforce quality control standards to ensure work meets project specifications

Lead and enforce safety standards across all jobsite activities
Qualifications
-
10+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction within a general contractor environment
-
Experience managing projects valued at $20M or greater
-
OSHA certification required

Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Bluebeam, and scheduling software such as MS Project or Primavera

Experience with Building Information Modeling

Strong communication skills with the ability to lead subcontractors and field teams

Ability to operate effectively in a team oriented, fast paced environment
