Position summary
The Parts Shipping & Warehouse Associate owns the accurate, timely flow of daily parts shipments and incoming inventory. This position pulls, verifies, packs, ships, receives, and records parts while providing general warehouse support. By taking clear ownership of routine shipping and receiving, this role allows the warehouse lead to concentrate on warehouse layout, parts organization, and inventory improvement.
Primary outcomes
· Parts orders are pulled, verified, packed, documented, and ready before applicable carrier cutoffs.
· Incoming parts and materials are counted, inspected, labeled, put away, and recorded accurately.
· Shipment, receipt, and inventory discrepancies are identified promptly and communicated to the appropriate team member.
· The shipping station, packaging supplies, receiving area, and assigned warehouse work areas remain safe, orderly, and ready for daily use.
Core responsibilitiesDaily parts shipping
· Review open parts orders and establish the day's shipping priorities.
· Pull the correct part numbers and quantities; verify each order against the pick ticket or order record.
· Package parts to prevent damage, select an appropriate shipping method, prepare labels and documents, and stage completed shipments for carrier pickup.
· Record shipment status and tracking information accurately in the company's designated systems.
· Communicate backorders, damaged parts, missing information, and other shipment exceptions promptly.
Receiving and inventory updates
· Receive deliveries; compare items and quantities with purchase or transfer documents.
· Inspect incoming parts and materials for visible damage, shortages, and incorrect items.
· Enter receipts and inventory movements accurately and on time in the designated inventory system.
· Label and place parts in the correct bin or storage location; flag location or identification problems for correction.
· Assist with cycle counts, spot checks, and discrepancy research as assigned.
General warehouse support
· Maintain adequate boxes, labels, packing materials, and routine shipping supplies.
· Keep aisles, staging areas, and workstations clean and free of avoidable hazards.
· Support the warehouse lead with parts-organization and warehouse-improvement projects while maintaining daily shipping and receiving priorities.
· Assist with other reasonable warehouse duties during workload peaks or staff absences.
Qualifications
· At least one year of shipping, receiving, inventory, parts, warehouse, or closely related experience preferred.
· Demonstrated accuracy with part numbers, quantities, labels, and transaction records.
· Comfort using computers and learning shipping, inventory, and order-management systems.
· Ability to organize competing daily priorities and complete time-sensitive work reliably.
· Clear communication, dependable attendance, and a practical, team-oriented approach.
· High school diploma or equivalent preferred, but relevant work experience and demonstrated skills will be considered.
Physical and work environment
This is an on-site warehouse position. Essential functions may include standing and walking for extended periods; bending, reaching, and using warehouse and shipping equipment; and safely lifting, carrying, or moving parts and packages, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Compensation and benefits
Hourly pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour, depending on relevant experience.
