Duties
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers to load, unload, and transport materials safely within the warehouse.
- Manage inventory using warehouse management systems (WMS) and RF scanners to track stock levels accurately.
- Perform stock stocking, order picking, packing, and order fulfillment activities to ensure timely delivery of products.
- Handle materials with mechanical knowledge for proper packaging and shipping preparation while adhering to OSHA safety standards.
- Conduct shipping & receiving tasks by verifying inbound and outbound shipments through QuickBooks or similar systems.
- Process shipments via UPS Wordship and other online portals, creating shipping labels.
- Support warehouse distribution processes by organizing storage areas, conducting inventory control checks, and maintaining accurate records.
- Assist in warehouse supervision tasks when needed, including coordinating team activities and ensuring compliance with safety protocols.
Experience
- Must have prior warehouse experience and familiarity with warehouse distribution operations.
- Must have computer experience and be comfortable processing shipments, correctly.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach trucks, or pallet jacks demonstrates mechanical aptitude and safety awareness.
- Knowledge of inventory management systems (WMS), RF scanners, QuickBooks or similar platforms enhances efficiency in stock control and order processing.
- Previous roles involving shipping & receiving, order picking & packing, or manufacturing environments are advantageous.
- Understanding of OSHA safety standards related to heavy equipment operation and materials handling is preferred.
