Behavioral Consulting Associates, Inc. has an ABA Technician position opening for personable, dependable, and energetic ABA behavior therapists/technicians. The preferred candidates have their Registered Behavior Technician certification and have a year of experience running DTT. The behavior technicians will implement school programs in Newtown, CT.

Job Description:
Provide direct ABA therapy to children with autism, including DTT, skill acquisition and behavior intervention plans, and academic plans as directed by the BCBA in a school district from 845am-330pm Monday through Friday with a 30 minute lunch.
Implement applied behavioral procedures under the direction of a BCBA to teach communication, academic, social skills, daily living, and play skills.
Implement behavior intervention plans to decrease target behaviors.
Collect data for skill acquisition programs and behavior intervention plans.
Interact with and communicate professionally with families as a member of a multidisciplinary team.
Job Qualifications:
RBT Certificate or completion of requirements prior to client contact preferred, however, RBT training and certificate will be provided to qualified applicants if needed.
1 year of experience working with children with autism using ABA including DTT, DRA/O, shaping, chaining, reinforcer preference assessments, recording ABC data, and implementing BIPs.
Required education:
College degree preferably in ABA, Psychology, Special Education, or Child Development or at least two years of coursework in ABA.
Required experience:
At least one year of Applied Behavior Analysis experience with DTT
Additional preferred experience:
Student in an ABA Masters degree program
PMT or CPI trained
CPR trained
