Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of food items efficiently, maintaining high standards of quality and presentation
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha and Micros for order processing, payments, and cashiering duties
- Assist customers with menu selections, upselling items to enhance their experience and increase sales
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, dining areas, and food handling zones in accordance with safety regulations
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately, including cash register operations and balancing transactions at shift end
- Support food safety protocols by following proper food handling, storage, and sanitation procedures
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning dining areas, and ensuring a welcoming environment for guests
Experience
- Prior experience in food preparation or quick service restaurants is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha or Micros is a plus; experience with cashiering and retail math is beneficial
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with guests
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Basic math skills for cash handling, sales transactions, and inventory management
- Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices within the food industry or grocery store environment
- Previous restaurant or café experience will help you excel in this role but is not mandatory; enthusiasm and a team-oriented attitude are key
