Job Title: Press Brake Operator

Position Summary
The Press Brake Operator is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating press brake machinery to bend, form, and fabricate metal components according to specifications. This role requires precision, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints to ensure high-quality production.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate press brake machines to bend and form metal parts according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders to determine correct setup and bending sequence
- Perform machine programming and adjustments to ensure accuracy and efficiency
- Inspect finished parts using measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure quality standards are met
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with machine operation, tooling, or part quality
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Maintain accurate production and inspection records
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2–5 years of experience operating press brake machinery
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Experience with machine setup, tooling selection, and basic programming
- Proficient with measurement tools and quality inspection processes
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with press brake machines
- Familiarity with metal fabrication processes
- Forklift certification (if applicable)
- Knowledge of height gauges, micrometers, and blueprint reading
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 15–50 pounds
- Frequent bending, reaching, and handling of materials
Work Schedule
- Full-time; may include overtime, weekends.
- 1st shift - 6:30am - 2:30pm - (Mon-Fri)
- Odd shift - 9pm - 5:30am - (+$1.00/HR shift difference) - (Sun - Thu)
