Job Summary
WeThe Photographer / Videographer / Drone Operator is responsible for capturing and producing high-quality photo and video content that showcases the company's products, manufacturing capabilities, facilities, and brand story. This role supports marketing, engineering, production, and sales initiatives through creative visual storytelling, utilizing photography, videography, editing, and FAA-certified drone operations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Photograph and film boats under construction, delivery vessels, stock models, and finished products as assigned.
- Operate drones to capture aerial footage of sea trials, running vessels, facilities, construction sites, events, and indoor manufacturing operations when appropriate.
- Document Research & Development, Design & Engineering, manufacturing processes, and special projects.
- Capture, edit, and produce engaging short-form and long-form content in both horizontal and vertical formats for digital and social media platforms.
- Edit, organize, archive, and upload content to company servers, YouTube, Vimeo, and other digital platforms.
- Maintain an organized digital asset library, ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of photos and videos.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and Production teams to identify and support content needs.
- Provide quick-turnaround photography and videography support for new product launches, sea trials, facility projects, and special assignments.
- Capture time-lapse footage and progress documentation for facilities, manufacturing activities, and strategic initiatives.
- Assist in planning and executing visual campaigns, promotional materials, and storytelling initiatives.
- Recommend creative concepts, angles, and content opportunities that enhance brand awareness and engagement.
- Travel occasionally to company facilities, marinas, events, and project locations as needed.
- Adhere to all company safety procedures and FAA regulations governing drone operations.
Qualifications
- FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification required.
- Proven experience in photography, videography, and post-production editing.
- Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar editing software.
- Experience operating professional camera equipment, gimbals, drones, and audio recording equipment.
- Ability to produce content optimized for websites, social media platforms, digital marketing campaigns, and presentations.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Comfortable working in manufacturing environments, around boats, and in outdoor conditions.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
- Creative mindset with an eye for composition, storytelling, and brand presentation.
- Familiarity with boating, marine operations, or manufacturing environments is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders, board vessels, and work in industrial and marine environments.
- Ability to lift and transport camera, drone, and production equipment weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to travel occasionally and work flexible hours to capture events, launches, and sea trials.
