Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and setup of construction sites, including unloading materials and organizing tools
- Operate hand tools and power tools safely to support carpentry, masonry, concrete pouring, and finishing tasks
- Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure accurate execution of work
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as rebar, concrete forms, and masonry units while maintaining safety protocols
- Support concrete work including mixing, pouring, cutting, finishing, and pumping to achieve smooth surfaces and structural integrity
- Install rebar and construct formwork for concrete structures following blueprint specifications
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment by clearing debris, disposing of waste properly, and adhering to safety regulations at all times
Experience
- Prior experience working on construction sites or in related trades such as carpentry, masonry, or renovation projects is highly preferred
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and understanding of construction workplace safety regulations is advantageous
- Familiarity with operating heavy equipment and concrete pumping systems is a plus
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and construction plans accurately
- Demonstrated ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting, working at heights, and operating power tools safely
- Strong understanding of masonry techniques like plastering, flooring installation, and concrete finishing techniques
- Proven track record of adhering to safety protocols while working on diverse construction projects
