Join the Fastest Growing Home Renovation Company in Michigan!
We're hiring an experienced foreman to lead one of our crews. This is a hands-on field leadership role. You'll be wearing bags and building every day, and you'll be running the crew, the site, and the day while you do it.
Before anything else, here's what makes us different from most shops you've worked for:
Every person on our crews is a full W2 employee. No 1099, no day labor, no getting cut loose between jobs. You get real pay, real benefits, paid time off, and a 401(k) with matching. We built the company this way on purpose, and it's a big part of why our people stay.
There's also a real path. Our growth track runs from Foreman to Superintendent to Project Manager, and we promote from the field. If you want to lead more than a crew someday, the door is open, and we'll help you get there.
We're growing fast because we hire great people. If you're one of those people, we'd love to hear from you!
Company Brief:
Wright’s Renovations is the fastest-growing home renovation company in Michigan! We're growing fast because we’ve hired great people and built a team of passionate builders who love crafting amazing spaces and delivering top-notch results to our clients. If you're one of those people, we'd love to hear from you!
Job Description:
We're on the hunt for experienced Foremen to join our team in Ypsilanti, MI. This is a full-time field labor position where you're actively building, leading a crew on-site, and keeping work moving. This position is perfect for someone who leads by example, works hard, and thrives on the job site.
What You'll Do:
- Hands-on Remodel and Renovation: Foremen at Wright’s Renovations are working leaders who plan, manage, and carry out renovation and remodel projects on-site.
- Multifaceted Tradework: Foremen at Wright’s must have knowledge and capacity to do a wide breadth of tradework. Rough carpentry, finish carpentry, tilework, drywall hanging and finishing, painting, cabinet install, shower install, minor plumbing work, hardwood and carpet install, siding, brickwork, and anything else that comes up in remodels and renovations. If you lack in any of these, you must be willing and able to learn quickly from the experts around you.
- Constant Problem Solving: As the first one on the job every morning and in charge of the project execution, Foremen are the first to discover problems. This job requires solutions to those problems, not making those problems someone else’s or searching for blame.
- Leadership Through Communication: Wright’s Foremen are expected to communicate effectively using modern technologies such as JobTread and Slack. Foremen are also expected to lead a crewmate or multiple crewmates with effective planning and communication on site, and are expected to share their knowledge with other Foremen to ensure we succeed as a company.
What You’ll Need:
- Remodel/Renovation Experience in Residential and Commercial Projects: At least 5 years of experience working as a Foreman or owner/operator in residential and commercial construction. You can show that you’ve been held responsible for people, projects, and money.
- Familiarization With Technology: We use JobTread, Slack, Gusto, and many other technologies to communicate and ensure job and company success. Being familiar with these programs or being a quick learner is a necessity.
- Communication Skills: Foremen need to be able to clearly communicate with their crewmates, clients, fellow foreman, and management; training and learning is essential to this position.
- Problem-Solving Skills: No job is ever the same, and no one can see perfectly into the future. Foremen need to be able to solve problems effectively and efficiently.
- Your own hand and power tools for the trade: Wright’s has an extensive amount of in-house tools, but despite that, Foremen need to keep a large breadth of their own tools. This includes carpenter's bags; hand and power tools for both rough and finish carpentry; hand tools for tile and concrete work; and hand tools for drywall and painting.
Why Wright's Renovations?
- Full W2 employment with full benefits: health, dental, vision, HSA, FSA, life insurance, 401(k) with match, and PTO.
- A real career path from Foreman to Superintendent to Project Manager.
- We'll help you get your builder's license if you don't have one yet, on us.
- Open books. We share how the company is doing and why we make the calls we make.
- A steady, growing pipeline. We're one of the fastest-growing renovation companies in Michigan.
- A team of builders who take pride in their work.
