You will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, and repairing metal components and structures used in the manufacturing process. This role requires operating various welding equipment to join metal parts with a high level of precision while maintaining quality, productivity, and safety standards. The welder must be able to interpret blueprints and technical drawings, prepare materials, and ensure finished welds meet company and industry specifications.
Responsibilities Include:
- Read drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
- Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements)
- Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
- Welding components using welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
- Must be able to lift 50lbs by yourself
Requirements Include:
- Basic experience as a Welder
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures
- Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares etc.)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Knowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $28.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
