Duties
- Operate a Sony PXW-Z750 broadcast camera while accompanying law enforcement officers on patrol.
- Ride along with officers and document real-time calls for service, arrests, traffic stops, investigations, pursuits, and other police activity.
- Make quick decisions about camera placement, framing, focus, exposure, and composition in unpredictable and rapidly changing situations.
- Capture compelling visual sequences that accurately tell the story of each incident.
- Work independently in the field with minimal supervision.
- Properly manage, label, back up, and transfer recorded media according to production procedures.
- Maintain a professional, unobtrusive presence while filming sensitive and potentially high-stress situations.
- Obtain necessary releases and other production documentation when required.
Requirements
- Three years experience in television broadcast news videography is preferred; a passion for storytelling is essential.
- Proven experience in videography with a strong portfolio demonstrating storytelling through images and video.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to craft compelling narratives through visual formats.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards
- Clips of NPPA style natpaks and handheld work are preferred.
Pay: $2,250.00 - $2,375.00 per week
