Duties
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including floors, surfaces, equipment, and utensils, following strict sanitation procedures
- Wash dishes and cookware, and utensils efficiently using commercial dishwashing equipment or manual methods
- Mop and Sweep Kitchen floors and dining area floors throughout the restaraunt
- Take out the trash throughout the restataunt
- Clean 2 bathroom every 2-3 days
- Wipe down counters in front desk area and reset as needed for next day
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as chopping vegetables or assembling ingredients under supervision (only if full time not needed regularly)
- Support food safety sanitizing procedures to ensure compliance with health regulations and prevent contamination
- Clear and buss tables promptly during service hours if needed to maintain a clean dining environment
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, trays, and cleaning supplies safely according to health and safety standards
- Operate kitchen equipment responsibly while adhering to safety guidelines and protocols
Skills
- Strong knowledge of food safety management and sanitation practices in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Experience with dishwashing techniques and maintaining kitchen cleanliness standards
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently
- Familiarity with food handling procedures, including basic food preparation and serving support
- Knowledge of operating kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, ovens, or prep stations is a plus
- Excellent understanding of kitchen health and safety standards to prevent accidents or contamination
- Previous restaurant or catering experience is advantageous but not required; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential
