Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC (heating, ventilation, air conditioning), and other building systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using schematics, electrical experience, and tools such as ohmmeters.
- Conduct welding and residential painting tasks as needed for repairs or upgrades around the property.
- Operate Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) to manage automated building systems efficiently.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Supervise junior maintenance staff or contractors during projects or repairs, providing leadership and ensuring safety standards are met.
- Read and interpret schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues effectively.
- Oversee facilities maintenance projects, ensuring timely completion while adhering to safety regulations.
- Assist with manufacturing or large-scale facility operations when necessary to support overall hotel functionality.
- Deliver excellent customer service by responding promptly to guest or staff maintenance requests with professionalism and courtesy.
Skills
- Strong electrical experience with the ability to troubleshoot wiring issues and read schematics.
- Mechanical knowledge covering HVAC systems, plumbing, and general building maintenance.
- Proficiency in using tools such as ohmmeters, multimeters, and other diagnostic equipment.
- Experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) for automation control systems.
- Skilled in welding techniques and residential painting for repairs or renovations.
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance procedures within hospitality or manufacturing environments.
- Supervising experience leading maintenance teams or contractors on complex projects.
- Excellent communication skills in English for clear reporting and team coordination.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, schematics, and facility layouts effectively.
- Knowledge of CMMS software for tracking work orders, inventory management, and maintenance history.
