American Traveler is hiring a travel MRI Technologist with 2+ years of experience for a 13-week assignment at a Level II trauma center in Reno, NV, serving a high-volume, fast-paced inpatient MRI department.

Inpatient MRI department at a large 800-bed acute care hospital with a Level II trauma center, Stroke accreditation, and 80 ER beds
-
Extremely busy, fast-paced environment serving a 500-mile radius with volume and pace comparable to a Level I trauma center

Facility features the newest 3T MRI technologies

3x12-hour shifts on a varied schedule that may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
-
On-call shifts are required

Floating within the organization up to competency level may be required

Epic used for charting; training provided during orientation or candidates may test out

Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience

ARRT (MRI) certification required
-
Current BLS (AHA) certification required
-
Experience with GE or Philips MRI scanners required

License required if applicable

Produce diagnostic MRI scans, assist radiologists and referring physicians with MRI procedures, and ensure patient safety and quality care across all age groups from infant to geriatric

Must demonstrate technical proficiency and advanced physics knowledge to operate MRI equipment efficiently and accurately

After-hours standby and callback may be required

Coverage for a minimum of 2 major holidays is required

Blocked scheduling is not allowed

RTO must be disclosed at time of consideration, as the facility does not extend contracts to make up for approved time off
-
Travelers who have previously worked at this facility must complete a 13-week break after their last contract before returning, regardless of the number of contracts or extensions

Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position
