As a Meat Processor, you will be instrumental in ensuring that all meat products are prepared efficiently, safely, and in compliance with USDA regulations and food safety protocols.
Duties
- Operate meat processing equipment and machinery following manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and safety protocols.
- Ensure proper sanitation and cleanliness of work areas, adhering to HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) standards.
- Package finished meat products carefully to maintain freshness, quality, and compliance with food safety regulations.
- Monitor product quality throughout the process, conducting basic math calculations for portioning and weight accuracy.
- Maintain detailed records of production activities, including sanitation logs, safety checks, and compliance documentation.
- Have good customer service skills and help make sales transactions.
- Taking customer orders accurately, answering customer questions, and taking phone calls.
Experience
- Prior experience in food processing is a plus but not required.
- Assembly line experience within the food industry is plus but not required.
- Basic math skills for measuring, portioning, and quality control purposes.
- Prior customer service is a plus but not required.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- Willingness to learn multiple aspects of the buisness.
