Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Dishwasher to join our team in a fast-paced kitchen environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within the kitchen, ensuring that all dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized. This position is essential for supporting our culinary team and enhancing the overall dining experience for our guests.
Duties
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using commercial dishwashing equipment.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area and ensure all equipment is in good working condition.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, including bussing tables and helping in the kitchen during peak hours.
- Organize and store clean dishes and utensils in their designated areas.
- Follow health and safety regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
- Support the kitchen staff during busy times by providing assistance with various tasks as required.
- Participate in regular cleaning duties to ensure the kitchen meets hygiene standards.
Experience
- Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with food preparation techniques and hospitality standards is a plus.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented atmosphere while managing time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to cleanliness and sanitation practices.
- Willingness to learn and take direction from kitchen staff, including cooks and banquet teams.
