Job Summary
We are seeking a responsible and reliable, dedicated and detail-oriented Kitchen Closer to join our team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for assembling dine-in and take-out meals, ensuring the kitchen is properly cleaned, organized, and prepared for the next day’s operations. Your energy and commitment will help maintain high standards of food safety, cleanliness, and efficiency, supporting a seamless dining experience for our guests. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your culinary skills and attention to detail will shine. Additional hours are available for the right candidate once training is complete.
Responsibilities
- Assemble Dine-in and Take-out meals.
- Safely close the kitchen at the end of each shift, ensuring all areas are clean, sanitized, and well-organized.
- Conduct thorough cleaning of food preparation surfaces, cooking equipment, utensils, and storage areas following health and safety standards.
- Verify that all food handling procedures comply with food safety regulations and company policies.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed to support the team during busy periods or special catering events.
- Properly store leftover ingredients and supplies to prevent spoilage or contamination.
- Complete closing checklists and equipment shutdowns.
- Ensure all kitchen tools, knives, and appliances are maintained in excellent condition for future use.
Experience
We are seeking an adult with prior restaurant experience. A strong understanding of food safety practices, proper food handling procedures, and catering or meal service experience are essential. Candidates with skills in knife handling, meal preparation, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness will excel in this role.
The right candidate will be responsible and reliable and take the job seriously. The position is Wednesday - Sunday, 2pm - close. If you have restaurant, from scratch, cooking experience this could be a full time position with a pay differential once the training period is complete.
