Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and responsible Truck Driver with a Class B CDL with air Brake endorsement to join our sanitation team specializing in trash and recycling collection. This role involves operating trucks to efficiently manage waste and recyclable materials while adhering to safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial truck driving, possess mechanical knowledge, and demonstrate a commitment to safe driving practices. Responsibilities
Operate Class B CDL commercial trucks, to collect and transport trash and recyclables across assigned routes.
Follow established route schedules, ensuring timely pickups and deliveries while maintaining efficiency.
Adhere strictly to safety protocols and traffic regulations to ensure personal safety, team safety, and public safety during all operations.
Conduct routine inspections of the truck before and after shifts, identifying mechanical issues and performing basic maintenance or reporting repairs as needed.
Manage the secure loading and unloading of waste materials, ensuring compliance with environmental and safety standards.
Maintain accurate records of daily routes, pickups, and disposal activities for reporting purposes.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers and team members regarding route updates or operational concerns.
Experience
Valid Class B CDL license with air brake endorsement with a clean driving record.
Prior experience in commercial truck driving, with trucks used in sanitation or waste management.
Mechanical aptitude or knowledge of truck maintenance is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with safety procedures related to waste collection operations is highly desirable.
Ability to operate heavy-duty vehicles efficiently while maintaining high safety standards.
