Heavy Equipment Technician – Civil Construction Fleet | $30–$45/hr | Full Benefits | Exeter, NE
An industry-leading, locally owned heavy civil construction company specializing in underground infrastructure and directional drilling is seeking experienced Heavy Equipment Technicians to join its maintenance team in Exeter, NE.
This is a stable, full-time opportunity working on a specialized fleet of heavy equipment and support trucks used in underground utility installation, boring, and tunneling operations. This is not a standard trucking or general repair role — the work involves unique, high-demand civil construction equipment and systems.
Job Requirements
- 3+ years of heavy equipment repair experience
- Strong experience with preventative maintenance, chassis systems, electrical, hydraulics, and fuel systems
- Solid understanding of diesel engines and heavy-duty equipment repair
- Experience with OEM diagnostic software
- Aftertreatment/emissions systems experience (DPF, DEF, SCR)
- Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions
- Must have own tools
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
What You’ll Be Working On
- Heavy equipment used in underground utility installation and horizontal drilling operations
- Specialized civil construction machinery and support equipment
- Diesel-powered trucks and field equipment supporting infrastructure projects
- Hydraulic and electrical systems in high-use, high-demand equipment environments
- Preventative maintenance and repairs to minimize downtime on active job sites

Schedule
- Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Monday–Friday)
