Regional case management company seeks qualified, experienced field-based RN/BSN to assist Workers Comp clients/claimants throughout the greater Northern Virginia/Maryland area.
Job responsibilities:
- Provide field case management services focused on recovery and return to work
- Complete assessments for planning and implementation of quality medical care
- Oversee, monitor compliance with treatment plans and Rx use as prescribed
- Liaison between adjusters, physicians, attorneys, employers & injured workers
- Set and attend physician office visits, facilitate understanding, address questions
- Visit Hospitals and ancillary service locations when necessary
- Coordinate medical equipment, diagnostics, therapy, hospital discharge needs
- Secure medical records, documentation, work status, scripts
- Provide timely updates and concise status reports
- Acquire and maintain knowledge of community healthcare providers
- Responsive and clear communications, both verbal and written
- Adhere to company and client guidelines
- Ongoing daily documentation of time and activities
- Complete client and company system/software training
- Other case management services as needed
Qualifications
- Prior Workers Comp claims experience preferred. Catastrophic experience a plus
- RN required, BSN not required, but preferred
- Organized with strong time management to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines
- Detail oriented to capture and record daily documentation
- Effectively use Office 365 and cloud-based reporting/billing software systems
