Position Summary
Iron City Sports Bar is seeking an experienced Kitchen Expediter (Expo) to join our team. The Expo is responsible for coordinating communication between the kitchen and front-of-house, ensuring every order is accurate, complete, and delivered quickly while maintaining our high standards for quality and guest satisfaction.
This is a fast-paced, hands-on position that requires excellent organization, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
Responsibilities
- Expedite all dine-in, carryout, and DoorDash orders
- Verify food accuracy, quality, and presentation before every order leaves the kitchen
- Coordinate communication between cooks and front-of-house staff
- Keep ticket times moving efficiently during busy service
- Ensure all sides, sauces, modifications, and special requests are included
- Package takeout orders accurately and professionally
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient expo station
- Support the kitchen team wherever needed during service
Qualifications
Restaurant experience is required.
Qualified applicants should have:
- Previous experience working in a full-service restaurant
- Experience as an Expo, Food Runner, Line Cook, or similar restaurant position preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Dependable attendance and reliable transportation
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
Compensation & Benefits
- $16.00–18.00 per hour based on experience, reliability, and performance
