Location: Onsite in Columbus, OH
Duration: Through 1 year contract, extensions possible
This Business Systems Analyst role supports a product-focused environment where you will partner closely with Product Managers and Scrum teams to drive requirements, backlog prioritization, and delivery of customer-focused solutions. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work independently, collaborate across business and technical teams, and contribute throughout the product development lifecycle from discovery through implementation and testing.
Responsibilities:
Partner with Product Managers to identify and evaluate new product opportunities through user research and discovery activities
Manage and prioritize team backlogs to ensure alignment with product objectives and business priorities
Collaborate with Scrum teams and cross-functional stakeholders to drive product delivery and execution
Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, epics, and user stories to support product development
Serve as a liaison between business users and technical teams to ensure successful implementation of solutions
Support user research, journey mapping, and market analysis to inform product strategy and roadmap planning
Analyze and track product metrics related to delivery timelines, quality, and overall product performance
Develop and execute systems testing and create comprehensive test cases, including edge-case scenarios
Design process flows and flowcharts to document information architecture and business processes
Maintain a strong understanding of business needs and system capabilities to recommend effective solutions
Qualifications :
3+ years of experience in product management, business systems analysis, or a related domain
Experience working with Scrum teams, Agile methodologies, and product backlog management
Strong understanding of the product development lifecycle, including discovery and requirements definition
Experience gathering, documenting, and managing business and functional requirements
Ability to write detailed epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria
Knowledge of systems analysis, business process design, and systems testing
Developing knowledge of data analytics and data literacy concepts
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
Experience creating detailed test cases covering identified business and system use cases
Ability to develop flowcharts and process documentation
Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience supporting cross-functional product initiatives
Experience conducting user research, journey mapping, or market analysis
Background working in customer-focused product environments
