Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Care Assistant to provide exceptional support to individuals in various care settings. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Monitor patient health by observing vital signs, medication administration, and overall condition; report changes promptly
- Support residents with memory care needs such as Alzheimer’s or dementia by implementing personalized care plans
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with meal consumption while adhering to dietary restrictions and safety standards
- Safely transfer clients using manual handling techniques or equipment like Hoyer lifts; ensure proper patient transfer methods are followed
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols
- Provide transportation assistance for appointments or community outings; support social engagement activities
Skills
- Proven experience working with individuals with disabilities, developmental or intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders
- Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and memory care strategies
- Familiarity with healthcare procedures such as vital signs monitoring, medication administration, first aid, CPR, and HIPAA compliance
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers safely
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration with healthcare teams
- Experience working in group homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or home health environments is highly preferred
- Competence in meal preparation, personal transportation assistance, and supporting residents’ social needs

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
