Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Assistant Manager/Sales Associate to join our retail team. Duties
- Lead and supervise retail sales team members, providing guidance, training, and motivation to achieve sales targets and deliver outstanding customer service
- Assist in recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, and employee orientation to build a high-performing team
- Oversee inventory management, stock replenishment, merchandising, and product knowledge to maximize sales opportunities
- Manage store operations including cash handling, cashiering, POS system transactions, and bookkeeping tasks with accuracy and integrity
- Coordinate purchasing decisions, pricing strategies, and promotional activities to enhance store profitability
- Conduct shift management duties such as scheduling staff, overseeing daily operations, and ensuring compliance with company policies
- Utilize strong communication skills to facilitate managerial communication across teams and ensure smooth operational flow
Experience
- Proven management experience in retail or sales environments with supervisory responsibilities in store management or assistant manager roles
- Extensive retail sales experience with a focus on customer service excellence and sales management techniques
- Demonstrated proficiency in POS systems, inventory control, merchandising, and operational management
- Experience in recruiting, interviewing, training & development of staff, along with team management skills
- Knowledge of retail math including budgeting, pricing strategies, and sales analysis
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse customer bases effectively
- Strong organizational skills combined with effective time management to handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
